CyberSkills/Vermont announced the addition of two staff members. Deborah Shelden is assistant director, responsible for development, program management, marketing and sales. She was with IBM. Jolyn Mosher is director of training. She was with KnowledgeWave Training.

Lake Champlain Shoreline Cruises announced that after nearly six months, the transformation of the Spirit of Ethan Allen III is complete. The seasonal attraction, a 500-passenger dining yacht, cruise ship and floating banquet facility, offered daily scenic, lunch, brunch and dinner cruises through mid-October.

Burlington Broadcasters of Burlington, owners of 106.7 WIZN and operators of 99.9 The Buzz, hired two marketing representatives. Brian Crogan oversees local, regional and national accounts; Jenn Guthrie handles local and regional accounts in northeast New York.

Karen Saudek of East Montpelier was promoted to vice president of human resources at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont (BSBSVT). With BSBSVT for 10 years, she was corporate director of human resources and training.

Response Marketing Group, a provider of shared-use vanity 800 number services, announced the addition of Marlena Silva as sales account manager. She was with Print Tech. Ari Haddad was named director of strategic marketing alliances. Steve Chupack was hired as Web developer.

Northfield Savings Bank continues to enhance its services in Chittenden County with the addition of Bonnie Horsford as a mortgage originator in its Williston office. Horsford has more than 10 years' experience in Chittenden County in real estate law and sales, mortgages, banking and community relations.

Jim Cohen joined New York Life as an agent with the Vermont General Office in Colchester. He was with United Way of Chittenden County and Competitive Computing.

Vermont Federal Credit Union announced a promotion and staff additions. Debra Phelps was promoted from accounting department manager to assistant controller. She has been with Vermont Federal for more than 25 years. Nicole Morris was named controller. She was with KPMG offices in Albany, N.Y., and Burlington. Dawn Heisler was appointed branch manager of the St. Albans branch.

Hackett & Co. of South Burlington announced a staff addition and several promotions. Marie L. Nistico was named associate administrator. She was employed at Real Page Inc. in Williston. Joe Gaide and Patty Barry were promoted to senior vice president. Erin Helmken, senior vice president and senior pension consultant, was elected to the company's board of directors. Lisa Liberty and Shelly Galente were promoted to assistant pension administrator.

New England Financial, a Boston financial services company, announced staff additions. Gary J. Farrow was named financial representative for the Lyndonville Savings Bank Insurance Center, located at all four Lyndonville Savings Bank branch offices: Lyndonville, Derby, Enosburg Falls and Vergennes. Sarah D. Nelson was hired as marketing director. She works at the company's Burlington offices. She was director of communications for the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Burlington College announced four staff appointments. Karen Lapan was named financial aid coordinator and interdepartmental administrative assistant. Annie Dunn-Watson was hired as associate director of the independent degree program. Dr. Michael Watson was appointed dean of student life. Tracy Psaute joined the college as writing tutor and instructor.
