Faces&PlacesSeptember 2007Tim Vaughn joined the sales team at Draker Solar Design in Burlington. Vaughn has worked for almost 20 years in the renewable energy and electronics industries, most recently with SunPower Corp. The Vermont Youth Orchestra Association announced that Arthur DeQuasie was promoted to director of operations. On staff since 1999, DeQuasie has managed three VYOA orchestras, and served as tour coordinator for the VYO’s recent concert tour of China. Ted Chivers, the president of All Seasons Construction Corp. in Springfield, announced several additions to the management team. Christopher R. Kimmey was named vice president/senior project manager. He has 24 years’ experience in similar positions in upscale residential and commercial markets. David Dancosse is operations/project manager with 18 years’ experience as owner/operator of a small general contracting business. Jamie L. Gosselin is the assistant bookkeeper, who will succeed longtime bookkeeper/office manager Judith Lasell upon her retirement. Jill Jaret-Rossi was promoted to market manager of the Stowe office at Chittenden Bank. She joined Chittenden in 1999 as a customer service representative. Philip Brown, M.D., medical director of the Central Vermont Medical Center emergency department, announced the addition of two doctors: Robert Amburgey, M.D., and Kalev Freeman, M.D., Ph.D. Amburgey received his M.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and did his emergency medicine residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Freeman did his residency in emergency medicine at Boston Medical Center, an echocardiography elective at Maharaj Hospital in Thailand, and a pediatric echocardiography elective at The Children’s Hospital in Denver. Coldwell Banker Hickok & Boardman Realty announced that three sales associates joined the firm. They are Realtors Elizabeth Hecker and Chad Dion, and Emily Lyons, a buyer’s agent with the Gray Group. Hecker was with a Florida firm; Dion was with ReMax; and Lyons held several marketing positions with arts and nonprofit organizations. Courtyard by Marriott in Williston announced the promotion of Jim Fitzpatrick to front desk supervisor. He has been with the hotel since the fall of 2004. Sara Howrigan was hired as sales and marketing manager. She was with Howe Hockey and Blodgett Oven Co. Anne LaBombard has joined Hampton Direct Inc. importing and distribution firm in Williston as an inventory finance assistant. LaBombard was a financial analyst at Fat Cat Inc. Larry Sudbay, president and chief executive officer of SymQuest Group Inc., announced that Kevin P. Cadieux was hired as a service technician. Cadieux was a home entertainment sales representative and installer with Circuit City. Edward R. Wilkens, Ed.D., was named development director for the Stern Center for Language and Learning in Williston. Wilkens had been the center’s community and educational liaison and interim development director since September 2006. Susan Poczobut, CEO of Granite Hills Credit Union of Barre, announced the addition of Sarah Fuller as financial services officer. Fuller was assistant branch manager at Group Health Credit Union in Seattle. Glynda McKinnon joined Vermont Public Television as director of major gifts. Her background includes managing capital campaigns for nonprofits in central Vermont and coordinating the capital campaign for the Ohavi Zedek Synagogue in Burlington. The Lake Champlain Land Trust announced that Chris Boget, its assistant director, was named executive director. Boget has 18 years’ experience in land conservation and has worked for the Lake Champlain Land Trust for six years. TFM Construction of Colchester announced the addition of Sean T. Mulcahy as project manager. Mulcahy has more than 26 years’ construction experience with firms such as Sterling Construction and the Flour Daniel Corp. David Moore was hired by Caleidoscope Communications in Burlington as sales manager. Moore has more than 20 years’ experience in sales with Moore Lincoln Mercury, and as owner of his own wireless business. Angela Batista was named director of diversity and inclusion at Champlain College in Burlington. Batista was an award-winning high school teacher and counselor in Miramar, Fla., and before that worked in student services at the University of Vermont. The college appointed Robert V. Simpson Jr. interim director of the criminal justice program. Simpson is a longtime Vermont attorney and state’s attorney and has served on the staff of the Vermont attorney general. He has been an adjunct instructor at the college since 1990. Yandow Dousevicz Construction Corp. Inc. has changed its name to Dousevicz Inc. The company hopes the new name will better symbolize its expanding range of development, construction and real estate activities. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont announced that Ingrid Temer was promoted to senior account manager in the sales and service department. Temer joined the organization in 2004. The accounting firm of Grippin, Donlan & Roche PLC announced that Jesse Lussier was promoted to senior accountant. Lussier joined the firm in 2003. Peter Bodette was hired as the customer service and sales manager for Vermont Energy Contracting and Supply Corp. Bodette has 14 years’ experience and will oversee heating, air conditioning, air quality and plumbing sales and service. • |
