Nicole Shangraw joined Hampton Direct importing and distribution in Williston as a sourcing assistant.

NRG Systems Inc. in Hinesburg announced several appointments. Laura Goodfellow joined the sales team as sales account manager for the U.S. territory. She was with Caterpillar Inc. in Connecticut, Colorado and Illinois. Guy Kirchhoff was named to the company’s R&D electrical engineering team. He was with Med Associates in Georgia. Named to the electronics team were Robert Koch and Jhammar Cruz. Koch  was with Vermont Technical College. Cruz was with Huber + Suhner in Essex Junction.

Peter Ross joined the Middlebury Inn as executive chef. Ross once owned what is now Roland’s 1796 House, and the Middlebury Market and Café.

Propeller Media Works Web design and Internet marketing firm in Burlington added two members to its team. Linda Setchell joined the client strategy team as a project manager and I-marketer. She was a project manager at Eggplant Active Media in Montpelier. Jase Roberts is a senior Web developer. He was with Digital Goat in Maine and Forum One Communications in Washington, D.C.

Stephan Jost, director of the Shelburne Museum, announced the hiring of Leslie Wright as public relations and marketing manager. Wright was a reporter covering business and government for The Burlington Free Press. She replaces Sam Ankerson, who was promoted to associate director of development.

Eric L. Kane was promoted to vice president in payment services at TD Banknorth in Williston. He will continue to manage the item-processing department in Williston; Glens Falls, N.Y.; and Mahwah and Collingswood, N.J.; and the RPS/lockbox department in Williston. Kane joined the bank in 2001.

Edward Jones financial adviser Hans Asoera announced that a second adviser, Kim Magoon, has joined his office in Barre. 

Thomas S. Leavitt, executive vice president of Merchants Bank, announced the appointment of Jessica Amell to personal banker and lender of the Northfield office. Amell has been with the bank since 2004.

The law firm of Dinse, Knapp & McAndrew P.C. in Burlington announced the hiring of three attorneys. Vassily Fedorchenko focuses on commercial and civil litigation. He was with the staff attorney’s office of the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in New York. Nicole Andreson is a civil litigation attorney. She was deputy state’s attorney for the Chittenden County State’s Attorney’s Office. Elizabeth Kleinberg practices with the litigation group. She was with a Birmingham, Ala., firm.

The Northern Forest Center in Concord, N.H., announced that Rob Riley was named director of programs. Riley will oversee development of new programs for the Northern Forest region of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and New York. He founded and was executive director of Main Street Plymouth Inc., worked in the ski industry, and had farmed and logged in Andover.

Earth Turbines Inc., a manufacturer of home wind turbines in Hinesburg, announced that Steve Hoskins has joined its team. Hoskins is an electrical engineer who was with Northern Power Systems in Waitsfield. Named field technicians were Stephen Miller and Jeff Chapman. Miller was with a Montana engineering firm. Chapman was with Renaissance Builders in Huntington.

Gallagher, Flynn & Co. LLP announced the hiring of James Paolicelli as network administrator in the IT department. Paolicelli was with Twinstate Voice.Data.Video in Morrisonville, N.Y.

Patricia Donehower, MSN, RN, chairwoman of the board of directors of the Champlain Valley Area Health Education Center, announced that Alice Christian, MPA, was named executive director. Christian succeeds Fran Joseph, who resigned in August. She earned her master in public administration from the University of Vermont this year, having interned at the Vermont Department of Health and the Burlington Community and Economic Development Office. She had worked for Mercy Connections.

Central Vermont Medical Center announced that Suraiya Kureshi, M.D., joined Barre Pediatrics on South Main Street in Barre. She was a pediatrics attending at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia and a clinical instructor at Drexel University.

David Rheaume joined the creative team at Found Line Inc., a Burlington design firm, as a designer. He was computer lab facilitator at Missisquoi Valley Union High School and consulted as a freelance graphic and Web designer.

James Derosia joined Chittenden Bank’s business banking team as a business officer and client manager in Middlebury. Derosia has more than 12 years’ experience in the financial industry. He was with First Brandon Bank.

Berglind Davis, IIDA, joined the interior design team at the architecture and design firm Freeman French Freeman Inc.

Christopher I. O’Brien joined Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Advisor Group. He was a tax attorney with a Boston law firm.

Gallagher, Flynn & Co. LLP announced the promotion of Michelle M. Cann, CPA, to operations director. Cann was a manager in the firm’s accounting and audit practice. In the company’s Hanover, N.H., office, Candace L. York was hired as a supervisor in the tax department, and Crista S. Dumais was hired as a staff accountant II in the audit and accounting department. York was with A.M. Peisch & Co. LLP in White River Junction. Dumais was with a Seattle firm. 

The Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce hired Genevieve Morwood Burnell as media and communications specialist. Burnell, who has more than five years’ experience in communications, marketing and public relations, was with Wake Robin.

NRG Systems Inc. in Hinesburg announced the addition of Stephanie Drew to its human resources team. Drew was with Vermont Mutual Insurance Co. in Montpelier. The company also hired Tom Nostrand, an electrical engineer. Nostrand was with Goodrich Sensors and Integrated Systems.

The RehabGYM announced that Jan Riordan was named site manager of its Colchester facility. Riordan was general manager and president of Sports & Fitness Edge before moving to New Mexico in 2005 to be general manager for a facility there.

Tiffany Ward joined 800response of Burlington as the marketing specialist. With more than 14 years’ experience in sales and marketing analysis, Ward was with Chittenden County Transportation Authority and, before that, with Verizon and AT&T.

Larry Williams and Doug Nedde, the owners of Bolton Valley Resort, announced that George B. Potter, a veteran Vermont ski industry executive, was named general manager. Potter was general manager at Pico Mountain in Rutland for seven years, and was the executive manager of the Killington Grand Hotel.

 The Vermont Energy Investment Corp. announced that Linda Gibson was hired as director of administration. Gibson will oversee the departments of accounting, human resources, information technology, facilities, and legal affairs. She was with a division of Aetna in Massachusetts.

Geoffrey R. Hesslink, senior vice president of Merchants Bank, announced that Zoe Erdman was promoted to corporate banking officer, and Bruce Bernier was hired as corporate banking officer. Erdman has been with Merchants nine years. Bernier was with the FDIC and several local banks.

Sovernet Communications announced that Stuart Livolsi was named director of engineering. Livolsi has more than 20 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry. He was technology manager for BayRing Communications.

Outright Vermont named Christopher Neff executive director. He succeeds Lluvia Mulvaney-Stanak, who stepped down in September. Neff recently received a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Sydney. He has experience with Republican and Democratic politics.

Kristian Omland joined the statistical services group at Macro International Inc. in the Burlington office. Omland’s experience is in statistics and ecology. 

Dan Boardman, president of Hickok & Boardman Financial Planning and Group Benefits, announced the addition of Daniel Webster, financial adviser, and Linda Amante, client service representative. Both were with Webstone Financial, which Webster owned before merging his practice with Hickok & Boardman.

Timberline Interactive announced the hiring of Andy Dunn, formerly of The Vermont Teddy Bear Co., as online marketing manager. Dunn has almost 10 years’ experience in online marketing and a background in business development and sales.

Sarah Farrell has assumed the position of production manager at Spike Advertising in Burlington. Farrell was with a New York agency. Pete Foytho was named art director at Spike. He was an interactive art director at Propeller Media Works. 

The Vermont Software Developers Alliance announced the hiring of Patrick Martell as its first executive director. Martell has 14 years’ experience in the industry.
