About Us

Exterus Technology for Business was founded in 1997 by Tim Williams as Vermont Document Company, LLC. In January of 2006, Vermont Document Company merged with Mach One Computers to form Exterus Technology for Business. The merger expanded the business from a Xerox Authorized Sales Agent to a full technology services business.

Products and Services

Exterus Technology for Business provides hardware, software and service for all small and medium sized businesses. Exterus offers the full range of Xerox copiers, as well as HP servers, printers and computers. Exterus has partnered with several major software companies to provide software for the small business, email defense and retail management systems. Other services available are Print Management, a program that allows a company to control the cost of printed output in the office; Document Management, allowing companies to turn their paper documents into digital images that can be retrieved fast and effectively through a secure connection anywhere internet access is available; and Managed Services, allowing Exterus to continuously monitor the health of a companies infastructure as well as manage its growth. Exterus also offers office networking and phone system services, including Voice-over-IP (VOIP) and software based systems.

Partners

Tim Williams, President and Founding Partner: Mr. Williams has lived in Vermont for his entire life, building and managing mulitple businesses within the state. He attended U.V.M. and worked for his families business, Copytek Office Products, an office supply company started by his parents. He became the President of Copytek in 1992. In 1996, Copytek was bought by Boise Cascade and Mr. Williams worked for them for 2.5 years, until taking ownership of Vermont Document Company, a division of Copytek that Boise did not acquire. In January of 2006, Vermont Document Company merged with MachOne Computers to form Exterus Technology for Business. Mr. Williams also owns Mesa Contract, Inc, which designs and manufactures office furniture, and Exterus Business Furniture, a contract furniture dealer. He resides in Shelburne with his wife, Lisa, and their two children.

Wright Caswell, General Manager and Partner: Mr. Caswell manages the Exterus Technology for Business sales force. He is also the Account Executive for Burlington and Williston, VT. He began working with Xerox in 1992. Prior to that he owned and operated a Health Tennis and Raquette club in Pittsfield, MA. Mr. Caswell holds an Associates Degree in Business Administration from Champlain College and a BA (dual major) in Economics/Business Administration from the University of Vermont. He resides in Shelburne with his wife, Bridget, and their four children.

Sean O'Connor, PM, Senior System Analyst and Partner: Mr. O'Connor has served as Project Manager and Senior Systems Analyst for Exterus Technology for Business since January 2001. Prior to that time, Mr. O'Connor was employed by Xerox Corporation, where he was a Senior Systems Analyst, since January 1989. While at Xerox, he developed strategic and long-range solutions for client business workflow as well as supported the Sales and Technical operation to ensure meeting or exceeding business goals. Mr. O'Connor currently holds a Master Degree in Management of Information Technology as well as numerous professional certifications including, but not limited to MCP, MCSE, MCDBA, MCNE, CCA, CCEA, CCSP, CCNA, CCNP, and PMP.
